I am currently an Assistant Professor of  Theatre for Saginaw Valley State University's Department of Theatre in Saginaw, Michigan. At SVSU, I teach classes in technical theatre, design and Introduction to Theatre. I design lights and sound for the main stage productions, as well as mentor student designers and technicians. I hold an MFA in Theatre Design from the  the University of Iowa's Theatre Arts Department with a focus in lighting design. I am a consultant at The Flint School of Performing Arts for the lighting in the MacArthur Recital Hall and serve as the lighting technician for faculty music concerts, student music and dance concerts and special events. 

I am a founding member and collaborator in Con Moto with dancer/choreographer Kristin Marrs and oboist Courtney Miller. Con Moto is an multidisciplinary ensemble who's work is grounded in hierarchical creative research process, in which all the artist have creative input. 

I am currently designing sound for the SVSU production of Death by Design and mentoring a student lighting designer. My most recent lighting design has been for SVSU's production of She Kills Monsters. Other recent projects include designs for the MFA Summer Dance Concerts at Hollins University and The Washington Ballet @THEARC's Summer Dance Intensive Showcase. I have recently served as the assistant to lighting designer Ted Sullivan for the May Dance Concerts at Juilliard.

I have an extensive dance background and am an active choreographer, dance instructor and arts educator. I hold an MFA in Choreography from the University of Iowa and a BFA in Dance from Florida State University. I am currently teaching Children's Modern, Elementary Modern, Creative Movement and Adult Ballet for the Dance Division at The Flint School of Performing Arts. I have also been an instructor and choreographer for the University of Iowa's Youth Ballet. UIYB has collaborated with Ballet Quad Cities for their annual production of The Nutcracker.
